Dear Mom and Dad:

So when I got up this morning J-Dog and Camryn person said “Happy first birthday Olive!”  I said Thanks, I think” ‘cause I didn’t know what a birthday was.  Scout told me I would really enjoy it.  Though-out the day Scout would disappear and go and help
J-Dog and Camryn person “get ready”.  There was a mystery trip down to Henderson center and rustling of wrapping paper.  Then I saw Scout out on the deck running back and forth as a lovely table and food was placed out.

As the party started, all my boarding buddies came and helped me celebrate.  It was so much fun!!!  Kona had two plates of birthday cake and ice cream.   Mollie and Codie at first didn’t want to eat off the table ‘cause they’ve been told it’s not polite but Scout said it was OK this one time. Buster ran around the table barking and saying “Happy Birthday Olive!!!” while Tweed just started eating.  Scout was asking everyone if they had enough and if we all thought the ice cream was good  (It was-there were two flavors peanut butter and molasses and sweet potato and honey- yum!).

Then it was time for my presents!!!  Kona showed me how to open them and everyone said I got cool stuff.  I got a rabbit Kong toy and a chew bone.  They look very fun.

Now I’m going to sit with Camryn person on the couch and let my cake and ice cream digest.  I now know what birthdays are and I’ve decided I really like them and in fact I think I should have one every week!

This has been the best vacation ever!!!
